Fig season is coming up! So while I wait for the fresh ones, I must enjoy the dried. And no better way than mixing them up with walnuts and cocoa powder.
These little fig bites are nature’s candy.
They are great as a little pick me up or pre-workout snack. Just another way to enjoy those fruit and nuts together.
Fig Bites
(makes about 16)
15 dried figs
3/4 cup walnuts
2 TBS unsweetened cocoa, powder, plus some for dusting
- Place figs and walnuts in food processor and process until finely crumbled.
- Add cocoa powder and process again.
- Shape into little balls and dust with remaining cocoa powder.

If you like these, try some variations of fruits and nuts like dried dates, cranberries or blueberries, and almonds, pecans and cashews.
