I eat a lot of oatmeal. I wish you would too. Not only is it absolutely delicious, but it can help lower cholesterol, regulate blood sugars so you avoid that mid-morning crash, AND, it’s rediculously simple to make.

Do your body good and have some oatmeal every morning.

Strawberry Pluot Oatmeal

Ingredients
Serves 1
1/2 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup soy milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsps cinnamon
1/2 TBS ground flax seed
1 pluot, pitted and sliced
5 strawberries, sliced or not
Honey, cashews & extra cinnamon for topping
Stove Top Directions
  1. In a small pot, heat oats, milk, vanilla and cinnamon together until oats are soft and most the liquid has been soaked up.
  2. Turn off heat and add flax. Stir.
  3. Pour into bowl and top with pluot slices, strawberries, cashews and honey
Microwave Directions
  1. Place first four ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and cover with a lid.
  2. Microwave for 1 minute and stir. Heat again for another 30-45 seconds. Keep an eye on it as it may boil over!
  3. When done, stir in flax and top with remaining ingredients.
