I love nothing more than a solid oatmeal breakfast in the morning. I switch it up often, making Pumpkin Oats, Banana Cherry Oatmeal or my special Crazy Oats, with pomegranates and coconut.
But during the summer, it’s hot, and nothing sounds better than cereal with cold milk. Like most, I have my favorite store bought cereal, but I got to thinking that it would be cool to try and make my own. A little less expensive but a little more work , I know. But hey, I’ve got time these days so why not? Plus, by making your own, you avoid consuming many additives, preservatives and loads of sugar used in manufactured cereals.
This cereal is jam packed with nutrients from oats, flax, wheat germ, nuts, seeds and dried fruit. Think of it as a granola-muesli fusion.
